With Dream Big, teens and kids imagine life beyond school. Through career exploration and curriculum focused on building disability confidence and self-advocacy skills, we show students that having a disability doesn’t mean settling for less. NEW THIS YEAR: our final week will be an experience for middle school students (6th-8th grade) with disabilities to discover career possibilities and learn about disability pride and history!
2023 Summer Camp Schedule
Students will spend each morning exploring careers with one of our partner companies and afternoons building independent living skills with our staff who are successful professionals and college students with disabilities themselves.
At Home: June 5-9 (Virtual Only; High School Students)
This session is exclusively held on Zoom.Companies include: FleishmanHillard, Boeing, BJC, Cannon Design, and Edward Jones.
Innovate: June 26-30 (In Person; High School Students)
STEM Week with: HOK, Bayer, Wells Fargo, Mercy, and Riot Games.
Hands-On: July 10-14 (In Person; High School Students)
Companies include: Missouri Botanical Gardens, St. Louis Community College Workforce Solutions Group, McCarthy, Clayco, Ameren.
Endless Possibilities: July 24-28 (In Person; 6th-8th Graders and High School Students)
“Adulting with a Disability” curriculum is tailored specifically for each age group! Companies include: Bi-State, Regions Bank, Purina, Millipore Sigma, and SSM Health.
What to expect at Dream Big Career Camp

Intensive focus on showcase careers in a variety of fields, including STEM

Instruction in self-advocacy, independence, goal-setting, college prep, and much more
